Yearly Review

11 days into 2010, which puts 2009 in the books. Jarod and I finished up 2009 strong. 1 year ago we sat down to do goal planning, focusing mostly on career and financial security due to the economy. Jarod and I both worked many hours in 2009 averaging about 70 hours each every week.

I was able to start my own event planning business Gracious Living in February, and then obtain my real estate license in July when I joined Harry Norman Realtors, both which I did in my personal time from my job as a personal assistant.

Jarod continued his work on the 3 1/2 year job he is running in South East Atlanta, the largest and most stressful he has had to date. He really enjoys what he does and has put forth many hours to ensure safety and as much as possible security for his fellow men on the job.

As the holidays approached Jarod took some much needed time off from December 23 to January 4 Jarod rest, relaxed and did some home projects, I am so happy he took this break for himself his job can be dangerous and if you are exhausted it just creates more risk so I was happy to see him take this much time for himself, the last time he had was our honey moon over 3 years ago.

Although I did not get much time off work, we both had a wonderful holiday with our family and friends. We love the fact that both of our parents live close to us and we are so fortunate to be able to see both sides of the family at Christmas.

Christmas Eve we went down to Jarod's parents and Marcy's Mom and Dad were in town as well. We spent Christmas eve with them, went to Church and relaxed. On Christmas Day we got up exchanged gifts and then had a very nice meal. After wards Jarod and I (and of course GA) traveled back to Atlanta where my parents came over for Christmas night. We exchanged our gifts and visited by the fire before heading off to bed. The next day we had brunch before they left around noon.

New Years eve was also very nice we had some of our really good friends Chad and Lauren, Kit and James come into town and stay with us for 2 nights. We went to Atlanta's downtown countdown where we saw Sister Hazel and Tone Loc play which was great music and really fun to dance to! The next day we watched the bowl games at one of friend's home and then took them out for a bit.

The holiday season was a great combination of friends and family and really helped ring in the new year.

Jarod and I are really excited about 2010 as we have done the past few years we did goal planning in every category of our life and are excited about what lies ahead.

This year we are hoping to be able to travel some, I am hoping to be able to take some vacation time, we both want to do some home projects as we always do and enjoy being together and the wonderful city we love so much.

2010 a new decade that is sure to bring as much excitement, love and laughter as did the first decade of 2000! Happy New year everyone!
